Ayur Sattvic: Guidance for Traditional Āyurveda Treatment in India
A traditional Āyurvedic treatment in India is an experience that goes far beyond simply staying at a clinic. It means opening yourself to a different medical tradition, another culture, and another way of approaching health.
Āyurveda is often presented primarily in terms of wellness or relaxation. Traditional Āyurveda, however, is much broader and includes a structured and individualised medical approach.
For many years, I have been closely connected with the traditional Āyurvedic environment in India through my own stays, my experience of different clinics, and my contact with Āyurvedic physicians and their patients.
My role is to help you navigate this world, to better understand how a traditional Āyurvedic treatment works and to facilitate communication with physicians and clinics.
A Bridge Between Patient, Doctor and Clinic
A treatment lasting several weeks in a foreign country can raise many questions: choosing a clinic, preparing for the stay, language, cultural differences, or understanding how the treatment unfolds.
I am neither a physician nor a therapist, and I do not provide any medical treatment. Medical decisions are made exclusively by the physicians responsible for the patients’ care.
My support focuses on orientation, preparation, translation, mediation, and the practical and cultural aspects of the stay.
