Ayurveda and Panchakarma
Ayurveda offers a holistic approach by considering both the symptoms and the causes of disease, emphasizing the natural balance of the body (doshas) and focusing on prevention and overall well-being. In addition to the medical aspect, the ancient Vedic texts include precise instructions and protocols for everyday life with a range of methods such as meditation, yoga, pranayama, daily routines and dietary guidelines.
It is a holistic system that has its origins in India. It has been practiced there for over 5000 years.
The term ayurveda has its origin in Sanskrit, meaning the science of life (ayu = life, veda = science). The first records of this traditional Indian medicine can be found in mankind's oldest writings, the Vedas.
Ayurveda aims to restore or maintain the balance between body, mind and soul, to be at peace and in harmony with oneself and one's environment, which is ultimately the key to good health.
This holistic approach considers and treats people in their entirety, touching on every aspect and element of life. This begins even before birth and continues right up to the day we die. This means that people of all ages can benefit from this ancient knowledge and add a harmonious, healthy perspective to their lives.
Health is an essential element of life. It is only a healthy person who can reach maximum fulfillment and vitality.
As an intelligent system, our body is capable of eliminating harmful toxins on its own. Due to our modern lifestyles (inappropriate and processed food, pollution, stress, etc.), the organism has become incapable of removing all toxins. Their accumulation often results in chronic illnesses such as:
Diabetes, allergies, obesity (it helps control weight), hypertension, cancer, migraines, cardiovascular disease, strokes (and their consequences), Parkinson's disease, kidney and liver disease, digestive system disease (digestive problems), infertility, menstrual disorders, eye diseases (age-related macular degeneration AMD, glaucoma, cataracts, myopia, dry eyes), rheumatism, osteoarthritis, back pain (intervertebral disc, lumbago), knee pain, knee injuries, depression (here a case report), burnout, autism, autoimmune diseases, skin diseases.
In most cases, an Ayurvedic approach brings at least an improvement and thus a better quality of life (testimonials).
Menopause's negative effects can also be well treated. Unpleasant symptoms can either be avoided or considerably reduced.
Furthermore, Ayurvedic texts contain detailed chapters and protocols on the subject of conception. Undergoing an Ayurvedic cure prior to pregnancy (both mother and father-to-be) will benefit the expected child (increased intelligence, positive state of mind, balance of general health of the child, etc.).
The treatment is also highly beneficial for people seeking to maintain their health, counteract premature ageing and improve their quality of life.
The Ayurvedic healing system has developed a large number of purification techniques to eliminate deep-rooted toxins. In fact, they reach as far as the cellular layer. This combination of detoxification and cleansing techniques is known as panchakarma (pancha = 5, karma = action).
